No One Should Be Homeless
Toni Frank
Helping those who help others
Home Sweet Home for Toni Frank and her daughter Cora. Their new place was purchased by Dawn to Dawn with money from the Homelessness Support Tax via the CVRD. So gratified to know that Toni and Cora and family have a place that is theirs to call home. Equally thrilled that the people of The Komoks Valley voted to support this unique and deeply resourceful initiative.
Toni works daily cedar weaving hats and other cultural treasures for her home community of Komoks First Nation. She has shared her cedar weaving skills in workshops with other Dawn to Dawn clients in our arts outreach program But Enough Art, Eat!
Toni is a rock to the extended members of her family providing food, love and shelter to them at her place that she can now call home.
Their unit is 13 to which Toni responded “1 plus 3 – pretty meaningful number for our culture”
